Did you know?
Stainless steel is made from an iron alloy that contains a minimum of 10.5% chrome. The stainless steel quality is obtained through the formation of an invisible adhesive film of chromium-rich oxide. The alloy 316 is a general-use austenitic stainless steel with a face-centred cubic structure. It is mainly non-magnetic when annealed and can only be hardened through cold working.
